Set a rule for each source
Choose the source, file types, and destination in an Auto Flow row. Enable Rename, Categorize, or both. Each row has its own instructions and sorting preset, so a scans folder can behave differently from a screenshots folder.
Check the first results
Start Watch with Auto Apply off. Existing eligible files enter the queue as the source is scanned, and later arrivals are detected while the app runs. Inspect names and destinations in Processed, then apply selected results. Turn Auto Apply on for a row when you want future changes applied automatically.
Handle files that are still changing
Auto Flow waits for size and modification time to remain stable for the row’s configured delay and ignores empty files. This reduces premature processing but does not guarantee a download is complete: interrupted transfers can also stop changing.
Connect rules when a task needs stages
Use one row’s destination as another row’s source. Applied files can pass to the next stage; the row order on screen is not the processing sequence. Cycles and identical sources with overlapping filters are rejected.
Inspect errors and undo supported changes
Errors identifies files that could not be processed or applied. Check the reported cause before retrying. Turn Watch off for Undo or Redo. History is kept in memory for the current workspace; saved Applied records do not provide permanent undo after restart.
Run with the provider you choose
Choose Local for on-device analysis after downloading its model. Optional cloud providers in the direct macOS and Windows builds use your API key and receive content for analysis; their charges are separate. The Mac App Store build excludes cloud providers.
Analysis does not use RenameClick credits. Free includes 30 renames or moves each month. Renaming and moving one file in the same action uses one credit; failed changes use none. Pro removes the apply limit. External API charges are separate.

FAQ
Does Auto Flow run while RenameClick is closed?
No. Keep RenameClick running for folder watching. Saved rows can resume Watch after restart according to their saved state; check that the source and provider are available.
Can a folder sort files into its own subfolders?
Auto Flow supports the same source and destination with Match Folders. It uses up to 50 existing top-level folders, disables Recursive, and leaves unmatched files in place with an error.
