These Terms of Use explain the basic rules for installing, accessing, and using RenameClick. By using the app you agree to follow them and to comply with applicable laws when interacting with our software.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

You may use RenameClick only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your region. You are responsible for safeguarding your devices and credentials and for ensuring that any use of the app is for lawful purposes only.

2. License and Permitted Use

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software for personal or internal business purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or otherwise misuse the application. The Free tier includes limited functionality; accessing Lifetime capabilities requires a one-time payment.

3. Lifetime License and Availability

The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment that provides unlimited access for the operational lifetime of the RenameClick service. "Lifetime" refers to the lifespan of the product, not the lifespan of the purchaser. This means access is granted for as long as RenameClick continues to operate and maintain the service. We reserve the right to update features, impose reasonable usage limits, or suspend access if the service is abused or if payments remain unpaid.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted vendors for specific functions. Authentication and account sessions are handled by Clerk.com, and billing plus subscription management are powered by Polar.sh. Your use of those features is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We may suspend access if a third-party provider reports suspicious activity tied to your account.

RenameClick is not responsible for any disruptions, outages, or discontinuation of services caused by third-party providers. If a critical third-party service becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to find alternatives but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. No refunds will be issued for service interruptions caused by third-party dependencies.

5. Service Continuity and Termination

RenameClick reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. While we strive to provide advance notice of significant changes, we are under no obligation to maintain, support, or update the service indefinitely.

In the event of permanent service discontinuation, Lifetime license holders will not be entitled to refunds, as the license grants access for the duration of the service's operation. We may, at our sole discretion, provide downloadable versions or alternative access methods, but this is not guaranteed.

Force majeure events — including but not limited to natural disasters, war, government actions, pandemics, or the incapacity or death of the service operator — may result in service interruption or termination without liability to users.

6. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, branding, and proprietary technology within the Service remain the sole property of RenameClick. Using the software does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in RenameClick or the content you access through it.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

RenameClick is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RenameClick and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of files, data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of RenameClick is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $8 USD for Lifetime license holders.

You acknowledge that file renaming operations may result in data changes. Always maintain backups of your important files before using RenameClick.

8. Refund Policy

All Lifetime license purchases are final and non-refundable. By purchasing a Lifetime license, you acknowledge that you have evaluated the Free tier and understand the features and limitations of the service.

Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis only where required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. To request a refund under such circumstances, contact us within 14 days of purchase with a detailed explanation.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of RenameClick after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
